What can I expect the police officer to do at the scene of my Florida car accident?

Transcript

At the scene of your Florida car accident, the police officer is trained to determine whether or not someone violated the rules of the road. You should expect them to gather the physical evidence, speak to the witnesses, and more importantly, write a report. This does not always happen. My recommendation to you is to collect the physical yourself if possible, get an exchange of witnesses, and get the contact information for the other party. If possible, though, I would do my best to persuade that officer to do a written report, because this is independent evidence that the accident occurred.
